A manufacturer of oil drill rock bit cones was looking for a part marking solution that would increase their production rate and reduce operator physical labor. SCHMIDT met this challenge by integrating 3 of our Styliner® pin marking heads into one system capable of handling their wide range of part sizes. This custom machine also simultaneously placed individual marks in three different locations on each part.

The Scribeliner® scribe marking series incorporates a drop and drag pin technology resulting in a continuous mark with extremely clear character definition and an ultra quiet marking operation.

Scribeliner® marking heads can be column mounted for benchtop style marking, equipped with nameplate shuttle feed systems, or directly mounted into your manufacturing cell or production operation for inline integration.

Rotary Roll Marking on Hexagonal Parts

This video demonstrates a Series 22 rotary roll marking machines marking around the perimeter of small hexagonal shaped parts. This is a unique use of roll marking to mark flat surfaces of parts at high speeds. Roll die is geared to continuously rotating carrier dial and makes multiple revolutions with respect to the dial, according to the relative number of stations on dial. Parts are loaded into slots in the dial, driven through marking station and ejected automatically.
