TOP HIGHLIGHTS FROM IMTS 2016

1.   Lasers shine bright

The star of the show was our 100-watt fiber laser, a relatively new player in the permanent marking space, paired with our newest laser cabinet. There was a lot of excitement generated when prospects realized that this product is now available to help them with their marking challenges.

2.   Robotics Interface

Visitors were highly impressed with our robotics solutions and our vision of making them part of our product line, allowing customers the opportunity to work with a single source for all their marking needs.

3.   Instant Feedback

In a case of perfect timing, a customer from Texas had one of our laser systems go into operation on the day he visited the booth. He was able to express his gratitude in person as he received word that the system was delivered right on time and was functioning perfectly.

EMPHASIS ON PARTNERSHIPS

gp8a0564Some visitors were surprised at the depth of products and services we provide. Our booth team was quick to fill them in on our full range of offerings and point out the value added by our engineering, custom handling and robotics integration capabilities.

But even more important than this educational objective, one of our goals at this show was to convey the idea that SCHMIDT is looking for partners to work with in long-term relationships rather than one-off equipment sales. We focused our efforts on talking to people who expressed a similar interest.
