DPSS laser systems can be used for a variety of industrial applications such as, deep marking, fine surface engraving or ablating (heat mark) where a very small amount of the material is removed such as a surface paint. Schmidt diode laser systems offers the ability to mark clean, clear, and accurately on a wide variety of materials such as, metals, glass, plastics, ceramics, silicon, and organics.  

DPSS laser systems are ideal for 2d part marking of 1d and 2d barcodes, 2d data matrix, material flow, graphics, logos, date codes, serial numbers and or any sequence of characters and numbers on your parts and products. We can provide an integrated system of 2d marking, reading, and verifying based on your specific requirements and in compliance with AIM DPM quality and ISO certification guidelines.

Laser Marking Software:

 

Schmidt offers two powerful, yet easy to use Windows-based software package for its Microlase® laser marking systems.

The laser source and power selection will determine which software package is best suited for the laser system and will come in two variations:

  • The software is installed on the PC that will run the laser marking system.
  • The software is integrated into the laser controller and a PC is not required.

Laser Marking System Enclosures: Custom Examples

Schmidt's in-house engineering department can custom design any type or size of enclosure to best fit your marking application. Below are just a few examples of some of the laser enclosures we have manufactured for our customers.

The Titan-E series laser system enclsoure. This design features a manual sliding door with a 24" opening. This enclosure is 36" wide and can be equipped with a manual or programmable z-axis for part height variance and a rotary device for marking round parts.

70watt Laser Marking System Enclosure

The Alpha series laser system enclosure. The design features a powder coated cabinet with a 22 inch wide pneumatic stainless steel door.  The enclosure has a power z-axis for automatic height variance and a removable side panel for convenient access to the laser head and lens. It can be equipped with rotary devices, vision systems or part feeders and can be fully customized for larger part configurations.

 

Laser Marking Enclosure a small footprint

This economically designed laser enclosure features a manual operated hinged door with safety interlock and self contained rack mounted controls. This compact system can be equipped with a manual or powered z-axis for marking height variance adjustment in part sizes.

 

70watt Laser Marking System Enclosure

This benchtop laser enclosure features a wide pneumatic door with safety interlock, and a programmable z-xis for height variance adjustment in part sizes. It features self contained rack mounted controls with an LCD display.

This benchtop laser enclosure features a manual operated lift door with safety interlock, and a programmable z-xis for height variance adjustment in part sizes. It is also equipped with a rotary device for marking round parts. It features self contained rack mounted controls and a removable panels for convenient access to the laser components.

 

Laser System Enclosure Freestanding Mobile

This free standing laser enclosure features a manual operated hinged door with safety interlock, manual z-axis for height variance adjustment in part sizes. A rear interlock door for convenient access to the laser head and lens. A side mounted monitor keyboard & mouse. All manual features can be upgraded to automatic and powered options.

 

Laser System Enclosure Marking Very Large Parts

This large enclosure was custom designed to handle parts up to 7 feet long. It features dual sliding interlock safety doors for ease of part placement and convenient access to the laser head and lens. This enclosure is mounted on a mobile cart for ease around the shop floor.

 

Laser System Enclosure Benchtop with Rotary Dial Plates

This laser enclosure features a two position rotary indexing table so one set of parts can be loaded outside of the enclosure while another set of parts are being marked. The indexing table is equipped with anti-tie-down dual palm controls for operator safety.

 

Laser enclosure with rotary indexing table

This laser enclosure features a large front access manual door giving the operator the option to hand place larger parts into the marking field. It also has a two position rotary indexing table so one set of parts can be loaded outside of the enclosure while another set of parts are being marked. The indexing table is equipped with anti-tie-down dual palm controls for operator safety.

 

This enclosure is equipped with a power Z axis for automatic height variance in part sizes, a manual front facing door, and a rotary fixture for laser marking round parts. It also features two side panels for convenient access to the laser components.

 

Laser enclosure for large parts

This enclosure features a shuttle table that slides outside of the enclosure to ease the placement of heavy parts onto the marking field table. There is also a large full access side interlocked door for convenient access to the laser head and lens.

 

This laser enclosure features a manual z-axis, and a manual door equipped with anti-tie-down dual palm controls for operator safety. There is also a removable side panel for convenient access to the laser components.

 

Laser Enclosure Standard

This laser enclosure features a 24 inch wide pneumatic door, and a power z-axis for automatic height variance in part sizes. There is also a removable side panel for convenient access to the laser head and lens.

 

Nameplate shuttle feed laser marking system

This compact name plate shuttle feed system comes with a light tight enclosure over the laser marking area. Name plate tags are shuttled from the de-stack magazine into the laser marking cabinet. Once the marking cycle is complete, the tags are then shuttled out of the enclosure into the re-stack magazine.

This smaller sized laser enclosure is complete with a powered Z-axis for automatic height variance in part sizes, an automatic interlock door, and two removable side panels for convenient access to the laser head and lens.
