Shank Style Type Holders

Model S

The model S shank style type holder is a heavy duty type holder for use in almost any press. The design of the tool features a fool-proof locking mechanism that holds the type or logotype in place and prevents setting type upside down.

The model S is used for multiple character stamping and frequent character changes.

Multiple Character Marking

A feature of the Model S type holder is its versatility - it can be used in almost any press. Use the Model S with interchangeable type for flexibility and economy in one line, multiple character marking. To change the legend, simply release the set screw, remove the locking pin, remove the type, replace one or more characters, replace the locking pin and tighten the set screw.

Quality Construction

The shank, holder body, anvil and recess are accurately machined from selected tool steel and are carefully heat treated in house to assure a rugged type holder and long life.

Uses stock type

The Model S uses Schmidt standard straight grooved steel type - available from stock.

A note about model number nomenclature.

All shank style type holders are numbered with the prefix 2531-1-.

For example, 2531-1-SH-A12 is stock number 032681, an SH-A12 type holder.
