Schmidt's type holders are available for all of our straight, round, radial and wedge style type. Die holders are available for flat and rectangular dies, as well as, lettering knurl holders for our solid round die lettering knurls.
Schmidt's die and type holders are made from selected tool steel and carefully heat treated to provide rugged quality construction with uniform impressions.

Schmidt Model P Straight Type Holders
Used with standard straight groove type for multiple character hand stamping with frequent setup changes. Holders are built to accommodate character sizes ranging from 1/16" to 1/4" of single type or accommodating logotype. Available in stock. Contact us at 800-323-1332.

Manual Radial Type Holders
Designed for radially marking flat surfaces, all type holders are machined from tool steel for durability and designed to meet specific customer requirements. Radial step type is used when the entire legend changes. Radial logotype can be used when part of the legend remains constant. A pilot can be provided to guide the holder into marking position. This insures accurate placement of the radial mark.
Straight Type Holder
Straight type holders are for use in Schmidt roll marking machines. Type or logotype are easily changed by removing the locking pin. Several sizes are in stock, in both t-slot and dovetail mounts. Contact us to order at 800-323-1332.

Model S Type Holder
Used for multiple character stamping with frequent setup changes. These type holders plus Schmidt's standard straight groove type can be used in our press marking machines. A locking pin holds the type in place. Available in stock.

Shank Style Radial Type Holder
Equipped with a shank for mounting in any press machine. Radial step type and logotype are held in position with a retaining plug and a socket head cap screw. The spacer ring may have more than one recess depending on specifications.
Concave Type Holder
Concave type holders are used for marking on the periphery of round cylindrical parts in a rotary roll marking machines. The recess accommodates wedge type. Concave type holders with multiple line recesses are also available.
Round Knurl Type Holders
Used in roll marking machines or screw machine knurl holders, these round type holders are standard tools for roll marking flat parts. They accommodate knurl round groove type, logotype and round step type and logotype. Carried in stock. Contact us to order at 800-323-1332.

Round (Knurl) Type Holder Support Carriages
Knurl support carriages are designed to hold and support round type holders and solid lettering knurls. The carriage is mounted to the machine die slide for roll marking flat parts. Several sizes are available in stock in both t-slot and dovetail mounts.

Schmidt lettering knurl holders can work with both round knurl type holders or solid lettering knurls. They are made with shank or block bodies and completely custom to fit your specific lather, screw machine, chucking machine or other part marking application.
