Whether you are tooling a new Schmidt roll marking or press marking machine, or need replacements for marking tools and marking tool accessories that have been in service for years, we probably have what you need - in stock and ready to ship.

 

Straight Type holders

These type holders are typically used in Schmidt roll marking machines. Type or logotype are easily changed by removing the locking pin. We carry several popular sizes in stock. T-slot mounts are for use in Schmidt models 365, 175,175-6, 175-MPC, 575-MPC and Series 12. Dovetail mounts are for use in the series 9 and older Noblewest pneumatic roll marking machines.

Your customer service representative will need to know the model and serial number of the marking machine and the body size of the die you would like to hold.

Knurl (round) grooved type holders...

Used in a roll marking machine or screw machine knurl holder, it accommodates Schmidt brand standard knurl grooved type. The side plate of the type holder turns to allow type changes. These 3" diameter x 3/4" thick x 3/4" bore knurl type holders are designed to work in Schmidt 7289 knurl carriages and screw machine holders designed for 3" x 3/4" x 3/4" tooling. A keyway is included to allow for the spring return on Schmidt knurl carriages and screw machine holders. Normally carried in stock at all locations.

Shank style knurl holder...

Originally designed for use in screw machines, our holder has the Schmidt cam-lock and spring return feature. The lettering tool is a knurl type holder with replaceable type. The shank permits mounting in a number of screw machines, transfer centers and machining centers.

Standard roller bearing cradles...

These cradles are designed with low friction cam followers for maximum durability and service. Dies roll over the periphery of the part causing it to rotate while marking. Cradles are provided with tapped holes to permit installation of back gauges and outboard supports.

We have five models available from stock:

  • 9701-0B, stock number 032721 for 1/4" to 7/16" diameters
  • 9701-1B, stock number 032722 for 3/8" to 1" diameters
  • 9701-2B, stock number 032723 for 3/4" to 2" diameters
  • 9701-3B, stock number 032724 for 1.75" to 4.5" diameters
  • 9701-4B, stock number 032725 for 4.5" to 7" diameters

Knurl Carriages...

Our knurl carriages are specifically designed for use in Schmidt roll marking machines. The carriage is mounted to the machine die slide and supports a knurl typeholder or solid engraved lettering knurl for roll marking flat parts. After marking a part, the knurl is returned to starting position by a spring in a thimble at the end of the shaft.

We have three models available from stock - all are for a 3/4" bore tool:

  • 7289-D1, stock number 032734 - for a 2.25" diameter x 5/8" thick knurl - this is for a T-slot mount die slide.
  • 7289-D2, stock number 032735 - for a 3" diameter x 3/4" thick knurl - this is for use in a T-slot mount die slide.
  • 7975, stock number 032789 - for a 3" diameter x 3/4" thick knurl - this is for use in a dovetail mount die slide.
