Schmidt pin marking systems are available standard to suit most any application - custom systems can be built to suit most marking applications.

Schmidt Mark Series Stylus and Scribe Markers

...have revolutionized permanent marking needs for virtually any application. Schmidt Stylus Markers have been in service worldwide since 1992 in a variety of industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Electronic, Forging and Casting, Sporting goods and hand held power tools.

With a wide range of standard machines to select from, Schmidt can match a machine to your marking needs to enhance your production process. Most Schmidt marking heads come ready to use on a durable column/base suitable for use on a workbench, tabletop or portable shop cart. Styliner heads can also be used as hand held portable systems for marking large or heavy items, or integrated into your automated production line. Schmidt Design Engineers will design a turn-key automated marking system for consistent, high quality parts marking within your production process. Have an odd job? Custom marking fields are no problem. Schmidt has engineered and manufactured Stylus Markers in sizes ranging from .5" x 2.5" to 4" x 26". Marking data can be input manually, bar code scanned, or downloaded from your mainframe computer.

What's the difference in stylus markers?

Styliner Mark Series Stylus Markers

...make letters, numbers and even logos on your part or nameplate by creating a series of overlapping dot peens with a pneumatically driven carbide stylus, which functions like a mini jack hammer. The space between dot peens can be increased for high speed, high productivity marking, or reduced for a fine quality, continuous line appearance suitable for finished parts. Our specially designed stylus assemblies have exceptional working range. Up to .400" surface level variation is easily accounted for, so head adjustment or use of a rotation device often is not necessary.

Scribeliner Mark Series Stylus Markers

... use a drop and drag process to form characters. This style of marking results in extremely clear character definition. These markers are designed for factory conditions, yet operate so quietly they are suitable for office environments for applications such as nameplate marking. ISO traceability is enhanced using Schmidt Stylus markers. Date/shift codes, consecutive and incremental serial numbers, lot numbers and special manufacturing identification marks can be permanently marked on parts. Whatever your marking needs, Schmidt has a Stylus marker for you.

Scribe marking uses a drop and drag process to create a deep, clear impression. This is especially important in the automotive trade in order to recover serial numbers after obliteration.
