Hand Held Numbering Heads

hand style numbering heads are designed for low volume numbering

For infrequent or low-volume..

..numbering applications, a hand-style head provides quality impressions and value. Sschmidt Marking Systems Repeat-0-Heads, for example, are economical to buy and they work on all types of metal products. Part numbers, identification numbers and codes are set by simply indexing each wheel on the head to the desired number.

A single locking pin, held in place by a spring-loaded detent, maintains stamping alignment even under heavy impact. An individual wheel release feature allows you to rotate one wheel without moving any other wheels.

To stamp a legend, the operator does the following:

  1. Slide the locking pin opening to the desired wheel.
  2. Turn the wheel to the desired character.
  3. Repeat the procedure util all wheel positions are set.
  4. Align the hand held numbering head to the piece part to be marked.
  5. Hammer blow to create the mark.

Standard heads have 4 through 7 numbering wheels, each wheel is engraved with numbers 0 through 9, plus a blank space (no need for prefix zeros, unless you desire them).

Standard character sizes are 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8".

Normal delivery for standard size Repeat-O-Heads is off the shelf.
