Schmidt’s MicroLase Systems adds two new laser markers to cover a greater range of marking applications. In addition to our DPSS (Diode Pumped Solid State) lasers, we now offer our new generation of 10 watt (specs) and 20 watt (specs) double clad fiber laser marking systems.

These powerful marking lasers combine high peak power and high beam quality to allow for marking a wide range of materials. Their quasi diffraction limited round beams, delivered at high repetition rates, make them ideal for heavy duty-cycle production with very high precision.
With their small footprint and optical fiber delivery, Schmidt MicroLase fiber lasers can be easily integrated into tabletop marking systems, automated manufacturing cells, and customized multi axis machine tools. Depending on the specific application requirements, Schmidt fiber lasers can be mounted in a safety interlocked Class I certified enclosure or operated in a Class 4 environment with protective eye wear. Our pulsed fiber lasers are designed for minimal maintenance and long life cycles. In addition, Schmidt Fiber lasers can be equipped with powered and programmable Z-axis, rotary indexers, X/Y axis tables, and custom fixturing

The MicroLase Fiber - 10 and 20 watt fiber laser markers are available with three standard marking field sizes:

  • 50mm x 50mm (approx 1-31/32” x 1-31/32”)
  • 110mm x 110mm (approx 4-21/64” x 4-21/64”)
  • 180mm x 180mm (approx 7” x 7”)

Due to the excellent pump to signal efficiency in the optical fiber, these powerful air cooled laser systems are maintenance free with significantly low operational costs. The fiber laser is ideally suited for marking most metals, many plastics, polymers and ceramics. Schmidt fiber aser marking systems are ideally suited for medical, automotive, aerospace, military, jewelry and many other industrial applications.
