Laser Marking and Laser Engraving Machines
Schmidt's industrial laser marking and laser engraving machines are commonly used for part identification and product traceability to mark 1d and 2d barcodes, 2d matrix, material flow, graphics, logos, date codes, serial numbers and more. Our laser systems come standard or can be customized to fit your marking application including integrated systems for UID marking, reading and verifying.
Schmidt high power industrial laser systems are also used in non-marking applications such as cutting, drilling, and patterning for processing of materials such as thin sheets, ceramics and silicon.
Types of Industrial Laser Systems:
Schmidt Microlase® industrial laser marking and laser engraving systems are available in a variety of laser sources, wavelengths and wattages. Schmidt manufactures fiber and diode laser marking systems that include infrared, green, and UV lasers and range in wattage from 3 watts to 200 watts. Schmidt Microlase® laser systems require almost no maintenance, and can be operated with our easy-to-use Windows-based laser software.
Fiber Laser Systems:
Fiber lasers are preferred for many industrial marking and industrial engraving applications because they are rated to work for 100,000 plus hour. Fiber lasers can mark most materials which were formerly thought to only be marked by lamp pumped and diode pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers. Diode Laser Systems:
Solid state diode pumped lasers offer an excellent contrast marking on almost all metals, some plastics and composite materials. Microlase® diode laser systems are virtually maintenance free, with low operating costs and are extremely flexible for a variety of marking and engraving applications. Industrial Laser System Capabilities:
Schmidt's Microlase® laser systems provide a fast, flexible and efficient way to permanently mark and engrave a wide variety of materials such as, metals, nonmetals, ceramics, and organics. Schmidt laser marking and laser engraving machines offer high processing speeds and consistent high quality marks.
Schmidt's laser marking and laser engraving system have a number of advantages over other forms of part marking equipment. Laser marking is a non-contact form of engraving and therefore significantly minimizes the stress and potential damage to your parts. Schmidt lasers are specially designed with your uid part marking traceability needs in mind to help you increase the end value of your products.
Laser System Enclosures:
Our Microlase® fiber lasers and diode lasers can function as stand alone offline systems that are mounted in a safety interlocked Class I certified enclosure or they can be integrated into your production line to mark on the fly or as a fixed stop and go operation.
