IMTS 2022 PREVIEW: GEOMARK PRO SM
While the GeoMARK Pro SM may have been designed in-house, its design was influenced by conversations we had with our customers.
“Customers were looking for something that could easily fit into their existing workspace,” says Andrew Bourgoine, GT SCHMIDT’s Chief Revenue Officer. "They didn’t want to rearrange their shop to install a new laser marking system.”
In response to the feedback, our design team worked diligently to come up with a laser marking solution that took the features of our GeoMARK Pro and fit them into a smaller enclosure. The result was the slimmer yet equally capable GeoMARK Pro SM.
GeoMARK Pro SM Features
Like the Pro, the Pro SM comes standard with a 20-watt laser but can be upgraded to 30 or 50-watts. With these powerful lasers, both marking systems can produce high-quality marks on a wide variety of metals and even on some plastics. Both machines are compatible with many of the same accessories too, such as a fume extractor, barcode reader, light curtains, and custom fixturing.
The main difference between the two is their sizes. The GeoMARK Pro SM is almost a foot thinner than the GeoMARK Pro: 26 inches wide compared to the Pro’s 36 inches. For shops that lack floorspace, those 10 inches can be a real gamechanger. It can mean the difference between getting a powerful, versatile laser and not getting a laser at all.
