Part Marking Machines and Equipment
Schmidt Marking Systems (Geo. T. Schmidt, Inc) was founded in 1895 and is proudly ISO certified and FFL licensed. Schmidt's broad range of marking products include laser marking systems, dot peen pin marking systems, and scribe marking systems. Schmidt also manufactures more conventional part marking equipment including, pneumatic and hydraulic roll marking, rotary roll marking and press marking machines, as well as, steel marking tools which includes steel type & hand stamps, steel stamps & marking dies, embossing stamps, numbering heads and type holders.

Design, Engineering, & Manufacturing
Our in-house design, engineering and manufacturing departments allow us to completely control every aspect of your part marking application, from concept to delivery, to installation and start-up support. Schmidt has full Unigraphics and ACAD capabilities and does not farm out any design services. Integration and custom capabilities include electrical, mechanical and software applications, and are available on all part marking product lines. Our customer service department is available Monday through Friday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM CST and our technical support team is available 24/7.
Automation and Integration Capabilities
Schmidt manufactures separate pin marking heads and controls designed for automation and integration into your current manufacturing operation. These marking heads can be mounted into existing work cells, positioned at the end of robotic arms, or designed to hang from a hoist or air balancer. Like all of our pin marking machines, marking data can be input manually, bar code scanned, or downloaded from your mainframe computer or network system.
2D Part Marking for Product Traceability
Schmidt's laser marking systems, dot peen pin marking machines, and scribe markers can be designed for product traceability needs such as 2d part marking, 2d data matrix, and 2d barcodes. Schmidt has the knowledge and expertise to provide you with a complete integrated system of part marking, reading and verifying.
Through our sister company, Precise Machine Company, Schmidt also specializes in the high precision CNC machining of instruments and components, such as, electronic and medical PCB enclosures, heat sinks, aluminum castings and forgings. We also specialize in the close tolerance CNC machining of thin walled parts such as, motors, pumps and generator housings, as well as, end bells and electrical connectors.
